In the architectural thinking of an object in a space, on a street, on an avenue, on a block, (...) the idea of lightness is given by the visual strength that its elements assume in the composition. When the aim is the structure of a building, we look for its structural elements to be stripped. It gains character when the rest of its decorative components lose their visual strength. In this case, the goal was horizontality.
These “slabs” are based on a delicate structure, creating a false idea of fragility. Its colors and materials take on its visual nature.
All objects assume an identity in space, and this one sought subtlety. However, didn't want to lose its character when “decorated”. The soft structure allows to compose, organize and enhance each object that fills the blades.
Ilha is a versatile combination of function with aesthetics allowing it to fit in any space – not needing to match a style or fashion.
